Spun in Biella Italy with a unique know-how, and custom-made for ça va de soi, this Australian merino wool is one-of-a-kind. It is with love and passion, from generation to generation, that Angelo and his sister Roberta have continued their father's passion for wool, who proudly claimed he was married to several women: his wife and the carding machines he looked after day and night…

All this devotion has earned this wool the RWS (Responsible Wool Standard) certification. The spinning and dyeing setup also follows the specifications of Association of Textiles and Health (Associazione Tessile e Salute).

The charm of this wool lies in a trade secret: the revolutionary carding process that introduces air bubbles allowing the extra-fine and ultra-long fibre, with a micron count of 15.5, to aerate, expand and reveal its splendour, while remaining beautiful for a long time… The resulting sweaters are so airy that one feels like wearing a cloud.

But Angelo and Roberta didn't stop there... After several years of development, they created their own dyeing facility in 2019, equipped with the highest standards of quality. Dyes derived from plant origins, always inspired by nature and its sources.

ça va de soi is now in its 5th edition (2015, 2016, 2017, 2021, and 2024) of this unique wool highly prized by our clientele. ça va de soi was inspired for this collection by the invaluable reservoir of nature.
