CECILIE penguin
The Aran cabled crew neck sweater
Originally created for fishermen battling the harsh, cold seas off the Irish coast, and knitted by hand of rustic wools for insulation from the damp cold. Over time, each clan has developed its signature patterns. For example the diamond pattern assured the wearer that wealth and fortune would follow and the honeycomb pattern was a symbol of luck. This sweater has as much nostalgia as it does history!
Knit with a woollen Super 120 merino wool of 17.5-micron; resulting in knitwear that offers warmth with pure lightness. This airiness is due to a revolutionary process, which introduces air bubbles during the carding stage. This fine and long fibre airs and stretches to unfold with splendour and longevity.
Available in an array of polar colours that transport us to the chilly landscapes of the Arctic and Antarctic.
